ETM (Electronic Test Module)

EBS braking system guarantees an optimum braking under any driving condition, thus achieving a more effective braking based on the load, adhesion and speed conditions.  Besides, these systems are able to react by activating the braking system, even before the driver presses the brake pedal, when some danger or obstacle are found on the road.

The repair works on these braking systems for commercial vehicles are growing increasingly complex. For this reason, training the workshop professional and having the tools for a proper diagnosis of the failure and a quick and reliable repair is really important.  

Sometimes, not having the necessary means to face this kind of repairs may lead to the unnecessary replacement of components when they are not faulty. This also implies unnecessary repair costs, both for materials and work hours.

With ETM, it is possible to diagnose the components previously described without disassembling them from the vehicle and without connecting to the EBS control unit, in order to find out if the problem is related to the control unit, to the electrical installation or to any of the peripheral components of the system.

With ETM, it is possible to check the real conditions of the EBS braking systems and to find out, for sure, whether a modulator is faulty; it is also possible to check the wearing and speed sensors, using specific cables for each kind of sensor. This way, the repair costs are reduced and only the faulty components are replaced.
